Lois is taking orders at the Talon when a boy, Kevin Grady, comes in and takes money from the wallet. He points at Lois when she confronts him and wipes her memory so she forgets what she saw. Clark and Chloe come in as Lois notices the missing money and Clark spots Kevin going out the back. Clark blocks him as he drives away but Kevin uses his powers. Chloe comes out to discover that Clark has no memory of who he is.
Chloe brings Clark back to the Kent farm but when he goes in he yanks the doors off its hinges, although Chloe of course isn't surprised, given her knowledge of Clark's powers. Chloe is forced to cover when Lois shows up and Clark's parents are in Metropolis for Jonathan's heart exam. Lana is greeted by Jason who lets her know she got an acceptance to Central College U but she's not sure if she's going. She's also unsure about their relationship given their secrets. Jason gets angry and asks her not to give up on him, and warns her that she's been protecting him.
Outside Chloe works with Clark to relearn his powers and explains the meteor shower and how it gives people super-powers. She also reveals that he didn't tell her but that she would never betray him. Back at the Torch, Chloe and Clark try to figure out the crime and Clark spots Kevin's day pass. He's tempted to reveal his powers but Chloe counsels him not to, but then he spots Lana and is instantly attracted to her . . . as his heat vision goes off.
Back at the barn, Clark goes through his personal life, including his private sketches from the cave, as Lois shows up and tells him to with his instincts. The next day, Clark goes to school and "introduces" himself to Lana, who knows about his amnesia but is taken aback by Clark's unabashed adoration for her and his invitation of a date. At home, Kevin's dad confronts him and tells him he has to go back somewhere for treatment but Kevin's afraid it turned him into a freak. Kevin then wipes his dad's memories and leaves, and Clark, Chloe, and Lois arrive shortly thereafter. Chloe figures out Kevin was at the Summerholt Institute – Mr. Grady reveals Kevin accidentally shot his brother Dylan and they turned to Summerholt to erase his memories. Clark hears Kevin fleeing on motorcycle and Chloe persuades him to catch him at superspeed. Inexperienced, Clark overruns and loses him.
Chloe and Clark go to Luthor Manor to ask Lex to use his contacts at Summerholt to find out more about the memory experiments (like those Lex underwent in "Memoria"). Lex asks for a moment alone with Clark and then tries to jog his memory by taking him to the caves. Clark recognizes the drawings from his pictures in the loft and Lex leads him on into revealing there's a secret room in the cave. Clark begins to suspect something and leaves him hanging.
Chloe breaks into Summerholt and searches a lab for information. She grabs a computer and sends a video file to Lois at the Torch, although she's grabbed seconds later. Clark meets with Lois and they see Kevin being given memories of killing his brother. Clark superspeeds off to the clearing where the "accident occurred and where he believes Kevin is. They meet and Kevin is puzzled by the fact his powers wiped Clark's entire life. But under Clark's prodding he remembers that it was his father who killed Dylan. Kevin says they need to break into Summerholt to get Clark's memories back.
Lois brings Sheriff Adams along to Summerholt and the latter bulls their way past the receptionist. Clark and Kevin break in with Clark secretly using his powers but there's kryptonite stored around and weakens. Kevin goes ahead while Mr. Grady prepares to wipe Chloe's memories as far back as he can. Kevin interrupts his father but is knocked ouit. Clark manages to knock over the shelf with the kryptonite and get to the lab and block the beam, which help shim recover his memories. Two electrical towers fall toward Chloe and Clark grabs them as Lois and Sheriff Adams look on, but Kevin wakes up and wipes their memories to protect his new friend. He also uses his powers on Chloe.
Clark doesn't seem to remember what happened while he had amnesia but his gut says to let Kevin go with a clean slate. Later Lex is at the Kent farm but doesn't say anything about what Clark said. Back at the manor, Lex reveals he grabbed the drawings from Clark's loft while Lana shows up for their date which Clark doesn't remember. She turns to go but Clark refuses to let her go this time and promises "this time" will be different.
Clark meets Chloe at the Torch and of course doesn't remember what she knows of his secret, but it becomes clear she still remembers what happened.

Clark loses his memory. Now, I know this may come as a shock, given that we've never seen this kind of dramatic device employed on a television show before, but bear with me: it'll all make sense. A Kryptofreak (but nicer than most) has the ability to clear someone's memory. While stealing from the till at The Talon, he inadvertently takes all of Clark's memories; Clark suddenly doesn't remember that he lives on a farm and lies to all his friends. Chloe serves as a tour guide to Clark's own life, telling him what's what and revealing his powers. Meanwhile, Lex tries to use Clark's memory loss to try to figure out more about the caves; he ends up with a map revealing the secret Gay Stones of Knowledge room that Clark drew. Jason goes further toward the dark side when Lana decides she might not want to shack up with him in college. And Clark sees Lana again for the first time and is totally in love, much to the scab-peeling of Chloe. The kid who took Clark's memory, it turns out, was an experiment at Summerholt, where his scientist father tries to implant memories in his son to make him think he accidentally shot his brother on a hunting trip (when in fact the father pulled the trigger). Clark helps the troubled teen, and the guy reciprocates by blanking the memories of Lois and Sheriff Cheshire, who'd just discovered Clark's secret, as well as Clark's for the last day. Clark doesn't remember that he put the moves on Lana, but that works out all right for him when she comes to visit and he asks for another chance. So...they're dating? Again? The hell? The episode ends with Clark asking Chloe if he did anything weird around her the day before. "You trusted me," she says simply. (TWoP)
OK, Chloe fans, this one's for you. I have no idea what her comic-book destiny is, but it's becoming quite clear that she and Clark are never gonna be more than just friends. I even took one reader's claims of the anti-Chloe abuses being committed against our favorite Torch reporter to exec producer Al Gough and even he agreed that she's pretty much guaranteed to always get the shaft. And he's right! The poor kid was prom queen and still couldn't score a dance with her Crush of Steel. It's really a sin, because she would make a totally hot sidekick for Clark once he grows into his cape and boots, you know? The way she had his back after that creepy dude from Mean Girls erased his memory, it was so obvious that Miss Sullivan is the only one — outside of the Kent family tree, of course — who can be trusted with his secret. And warning him about Lex just by whispering to his superhearing? Girl's good, I tell ya! She's like Veronica Mars with better ratings. I'm actually surprised she wasn't the one to figure out that creepy Mean Girls dude's dad was the one who mutated him into thinking he killed his brother. Though having Clark help the kid put the pieces together was a smart move on the writers' part, since it gave us that great moment where everyone realized that farm boy was packing some serious powers during the lab explosion. Very cool. Now we know what it would be like if the truth was out there. Thankfully, the Freak of the Week was able to zap Lois, Chloe and the sheriff into forgetting what they saw before word got back to Lana that her soon-to-be-ex-ex was more than just tall, dark and carved-out-of-flannel hotness. Now, if only there was someone who could make me forget the horror that just became... (TV Guide)

Spoilers:
There is a young man named Kevin Grady who slips into a bedroom with walls covered with things like posters of NASA and Shaq. It's obviously his own room. He looks at a picture of himself with his younger brother, Dillon. His father, Lawrence Grady, comes in and finds him. He tells him Summerholt has been looking everywhere for him, and that what happened "that day" was not Kevin's fault, for whatever that means. Kevin says "What, and give me some other freak power as a side effect?" regarding the idea of returning to Summerholt. Could they be experimenting again? Either way, it sounds like Kevin has the meteor power of wiping others' memories.
Lois, Chloe, and Clark end up at the Grady house about "the spontaneous line of credit" that Kevin has taken out at the Talon (he has stolen several hundred dollars right from the cash register, then used his powers to make people forget). They show Mr. Grady a Summerholt bracelet they found, and ask him why Kevin was at Summerholt. Apparently the Gradys went on a hunting trip where Kevin was loading his rifle and shot his brother Dillon.
Lois is now working at the Talon.
Chloe says something to Clark about his allergy to meteor rocks, so we're thinking she'll have told him she knows the secret by now. Apparently Clark's mind gets wiped too, and he may forget about his powers, and Chloe has to remind him about them and what he can do.
Clark finds and confronts Kevin and asks him about his memories of that day. Clark makes a comment that maybe Summerholt has forced him to block out that day. Clark thinks that it wasn't Kevin who shot his brother... but someone else. Go Clark with your mad skillz detective work!
- Chloe has a video on her computer, possibly of what really happened with Dillon. Mr. Grady, the perpetrator, wants her to erase it. But the video being gone is not enough. "Now we just need to erase your memory of it," Grady threatens.
Lois lays into a receptionist at Summerholt as Sheriff Adams looks on. "This guy's kid robbed me and then plucked the last forget-me-not pedal from my friend's brain," she says. "Now this psycho is holding my cousin back there somewhere." Guess this means Chloe's been taken into Summerholt... could someone, possibly Kevin, be used to wipe her memories "blank?" KryptonSite
